Introducing Me

My name is D’Lorah Haas, but most people know me as Dorie (Like the fish off of Nemo). I am a passionate teacher, mentor, and community-centered individual with a heart for both children and connection. Currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Science, I brings over a decade of hands-on experience working with children. My long-term vision is to open a preschool, where I can create a nurturing, faith-centered environment that supports the growth and development of the tiny humans in my community, and their families.

I am married to my loving husband, Tristin, and together we are building a life in Centralia filled with joy, faith, and plenty of personality—thanks to our two dogs, Cam and Angie, and our two cats, Sox and Licksy. As a family, we are deeply committed to living according to God’s plan, serving our community through church involvement, and pursuing a more intentional lifestyle.

Wanting to be actively involved in my church, I help lead worship and teach the youth, combining my love for Jesus and the mentorship of the next generation of Christ fallowers. I am also a color guard coach and childcare provider, guiding and motivating students to be the best version of themselves, both in and out of a church setting.

Outside of my professional and ministry work, I thrive on connecting to people and simple joys—hosting gatherings, playing board games, enjoying movie nights, sitting around a fire, or floating down the river. I loves traveling, whether it’s exploring small towns, visiting national parks, or relaxing by the beach with a good book in hand.

Looking ahead, my family and I are excited to begin our homesteading journey—embracing gardening, raising chickens, and working toward a more sustainable, less wasteful lifestyle. Our goal is not only to grow in self-sufficiency but also to share what we learn and inspire others along the way.
